An evening of bluegrass, barbecue and conversation will carry a larger purpose at Coventry Oaks Farm this fall, as United Way of St. Johns and Putnam Counties invites the community back for its Second Annual Putnam Jubilee.

Set for Friday, Nov. 13, in Palatka, the gathering is designed as a chance for neighbors, local businesses and community leaders to enjoy one another’s company while supporting programs that help Putnam County residents navigate some of life’s most pressing needs.

“The Putnam Jubilee is a celebration of the incredible community we’re proud to serve,” said Carl F. Cricco III, CEO of United Way of St. Johns and Putnam Counties. “When we come together, we can make a lasting difference in the lives of our neighbors.”

The inaugural Jubilee sold out, offering an early indication of the enthusiasm surrounding an event built around local connection. This year’s celebration will include artisan charcuterie from Peas and Carrots Catering, barbecue from Holy Smokes Food Truck, complimentary beer and wine, and live bluegrass music. Guests will also hear stories reflecting United Way’s work throughout Putnam County.

Georgia-Pacific’s Palatka Mill will serve as title sponsor for the event, helping make the evening possible and supporting the broader work it funds.

Proceeds from the Jubilee will remain focused on Putnam County, supporting initiatives in four areas central to United Way’s mission: health, educational opportunity, financial security and community resiliency. Those programs are intended to connect individuals and families with practical resources and support at moments when they need them most.

“Our first Putnam Jubilee showed just how passionate Putnam County is about coming together to make a difference,” said Meghan Durden, United Way’s director of philanthropy. “We’re excited to welcome everyone back for an even bigger celebration as we continue investing in programs that create lasting impact for local families.”

Sponsorship opportunities remain available for businesses and community partners, while individual tickets went on sale Sept. 1. With last year’s event reaching capacity, organizers encourage attendees to reserve their places early.
