Hornski’s Brewing Company Blends Craft Brews, Vinyl and Vintage Games

Craft beer, vintage vinyl, free arcade games and a little friendly competition might sound like an unlikely mix, but at Hornski’s Brewing Company, that’s exactly the point. Tucked along Anastasia Boulevard just east of the Bridge of Lions, Hornski’s has created a laid-back neighborhood hangout where multiple generations can gather under one roof. The brewery offers a rotating selection of house-made beers and kombucha on tap, along with canned and bottled sodas and wine, all served against the soundtrack of an eclectic classic vinyl collection. “We have a really nostalgic vibe here,” says Rob Horn, head brewer and co-owner. “All our vintage video games are free to play, and we have coin-operated foosball and pool.” Outdoor seating and a rotating lineup of food trucks round out the experience, giving Hornski’s the feel of equal parts brewery, game room and old-school gathering place.

Rob and his brother, Andy Horn initially opened Hornski’s Vinyl Lounge in 2015, only two doors down from their current 100 Anastasia Boulevard location. Doubling as both a bar and a record store, customers could enjoy a diverse mix of classic and indie sounds over the house speakers as they imbibed and perused a collection of vinyls for purchase. The vinyl lounge enjoyed years of success until its closing during the covid pandemic. “We took that time to go back to the drawing board and start planning what we wanted our next venture to look like,” Rob explains. “We knew that we wanted to incorporate our signature classic ambience with refreshing home brew selections and offer our patrons a unique and inclusive way to unwind.” Just two years ago, Rob, Andy, and Andy’s wife, Sarah, opened the doors to Hornski’s Brewing Co. Today, The Horns’ mission is to continue sowing the seeds of their humble beginnings while imparting their love for music, passion for brewing, and commitment to the local community. “Over the last few months, we built a small stage and have begun offering live music,” says Rob. “We are excited to announce that this is our first year as an official Sing Out Loud Festival venue.” Currently featuring small, live acts every Tuesday and every other Friday, Hornski’s is solidifying their place in the roster of local live music establishments. “We never charge a cover for live music,” says Rob.

With the official start to the fall season upon us, Hornski’s will be offering an autumn and Oktoberfest themed selection of brews to celebrate the arrival of cooler temperatures and light breezes. As for Hornski’s future, Rob conveys his family’s vision. “We really want people to know that we are here, and in our own unique way, we have a little something for everybody.” He concludes, “I think we’ve created a good thing, and we want to keep it going.” To learn more and to view Hornski’s wide range of custom beers, guest draughts, sparkling wine, and cider visit https://www.hornskis.com.
